Mike is the driving force behind GolfPod, bringing more than 15 years of leadership in golf retail, operations, and sales strategy. With a huge network in the industry and deep golfing knowledge, he has built a reputation for driving growth and delivering results.
As a former Regional Sales Manager at American Golf, he oversaw up to 40 stores, leading teams of over 200 people and achieving significant gains in revenue, profitability, and customer experience. Mike also has a proven track record of transforming store performance, opening new flagship sites, and elevating industry standards.
Mike joined GolfPod to channel his expertise and passion for innovation into creating modern, technology-driven spaces where anyone can play, practice, and improve. His focus on customer experience, operational excellence, and team development ensures GolfPod delivers outstanding value for communities and partners alike.


Mark brings over 25 years of leadership in retail, sales, and operations to GolfPod. With a proven track record of transforming performance across major retail and leisure businesses, he has led regions of more than 50 stores and hundreds of colleagues, consistently delivering growth, operational excellence, and world-class customer experience.
Before joining GolfPod, Mark held senior roles at American Golf, where he managed 30 stores and leisure sites with a £30m turnover, whilst developing the next generation of retail leaders. He also brings valuable leisure industry experience from his role as Retail & Marketing Director at Walmer and Kingsdown Golf Club, where he enhanced the club’s commercial offering and member experience.
A keen golfer with a 3 handicap, Mark combines his professional expertise with his passion for the game to drive GolfPod’s sales strategy, site performance, and customer service standards.


Steve Pockneall is the visionary founder behind GolfPod, with decades of hands-on experience managing leading golf venues including Ferndown Forest, Tickenham, Salisbury Golf Centre, and Royal Winchester. Across these sites, Steve built successful golf academies and developed thriving food & beverage operations, creating venues that were both commercially robust and community-focused.
A pioneer of modern golf experiences, Steve was among the first to introduce Toptracer technology across his facilities, transforming the way golfers and newcomers engage with the game. Drawing on this deep operational expertise and passion for innovation, he co-created GolfPod to revolutionise how golf is played and delivered.
His background in developing tech-led, customer-first venues ensures that every GolfPod blends visionary design, premium execution, and inclusivity — helping grow the game in spaces previously considered non-traditional.


Andy Weeks is the founder and owner of Hi-Nets, a leading provider of performance sports netting solutions. Under his leadership, Hi-Nets delivers a full end-to-end service — from planning and consultancy to fabrication and installation — for both national and international projects.
With deep technical expertise and decades of experience, Andy has overseen high-profile installations across the UK and worldwide, including projects in Europe, the Gulf, South America, and the U.S. His global perspective and proven track record make him a trusted partner in delivering high-performance solutions tailored to any environment.
Andy brings this visionary approach to Hi-Nets’ partnership with GolfPod, combining craftsmanship and global experience with forward-looking innovation to shape the future of modern driving ranges.


Michael brings a distinguished track record in finance, strategic leadership, and business development to his role as Chairman of GolfPod. He is renowned for maximising shareholder value—both in executive and non-executive roles—through visionary leadership and a proven ability to grow and transform organisations. As the former Strategic Development Director of Gresham House plc, a specialist asset manager, Michael played a pivotal role in guiding the company’s strategic growth. He subsequently founded both iimia Investment Group plc (now Premier Miton Group plc) and Christows Ltd (later integrated into Investec’s retail operations), along with Zestec Asset Management Ltd, which was acquired by Fern Trading Ltd—underscoring his entrepreneurial acumen and deep understanding of investment markets.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, Michael brings not only institutional insight and financial rigour but also a genuine passion for golf and its community. His experience in business, combined with enthusiasm for the sport, informs his leadership in guiding GolfPod’s mission—to innovate the way communities experience and engage with golf.


Peter is a seasoned Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and brings deep financial expertise to his role at GolfPod as an angel investor and non‑executive advisor to entrepreneurial and early‑stage venture
After qualifying with KPMG in London, he went on to lead finance functions in several SMEs, playing a key part in a successful management buy‑out (MBO) and subsequent exit. Now semi-retired, Peter continues to contribute his sharp fiscal insight and strategic counsel to support executive leadership and emerging innovation at GolfPod.


Founded in 1998 by twin brothers Bruce and David Weller, Weller Designs is a leading golf course architecture and landscape design practice with projects across the UK and Europe. Combining over 50 years of shared experience, they specialise in creating innovative, sustainable, and commercially successful golf facilities — from championship courses to modern practice ranges.
Bruce, a former Executive Director of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA), and David, a highly skilled designer with a background in geography, plant biology, and graphic design, bring together creativity, technical expertise, and a deep passion for the game.
Weller Designs has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional golf environments that balance player experience, environmental responsibility, and long-term business success.
